First, I must praise God for His incredible goodness.  God, and God alone, has protected and sustained my father, and comforted and strengthened my mom and I.  Glory to Him!

Second, thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who have been praying for my family.  I can’t even describe the how I have felt strengthened by your prayers.  It’s as if I could literally feel your hands supporting me.  My mom has expressed such an assurance and comfort knowing that God is in control and that she has a church family full of brothers and sisters who are praying constantly for her and my dad.  

Now for an update:  I left the hospital in TN yesterday afternoon to head home.  They plan to discharge my dad from the hospital tomorrow, Friday 26 June.  His consulation with the cardiac surgeon won’t be until late next week, and we have no idea how long after that until his bypass surgery.  During this time, he will be at home, which is at least 1 hour from the nearest hospital.  I know that God is sovereign over all things and I trust that He will protect and keep my father just as He has done until now.  I will be heading back up there for a couple of weeks when he has bypass surgery. 

Please continue to pray for God to go before us and ‘pave the way’ for the surgery, that it would happen in His perfect timing.  Most importantly, continually pray for my father to know God through all of this; his salvation would make all of this worth it.
